Black Business White House Initiative for Black Americans

$38.00 – $63.00- The White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans (Initiative) was established to strengthen the nation by enhancing educational outcomes for Black Americans of all ages. Its mission is to ensure that Black Americans receive an education that prepares them for college and productive careers, thereby contributing to the well-being of society.The Initiative’s work is guided by three core principles:
- Youth Engagement: Providing platforms for youth and other impacted populations to offer recommendations on policies, practices, and programs designed to accelerate learning and development.
- Highlighting Success: Showcasing people, programs, and practices that facilitate the learning and development of African American students.
- Community Liaison: Acting as a bridge among communities supporting Black students of all ages.
You are cordially invited to attend a historic event at the Jo Long Theater at 226 N. Hackberry in the Carver Culture Community Center on August 1st. At this event, members from the White House Initiative for Black Americans will present the state of Black Business, alongside representatives from NASA, GSA, and CPS Energy.
- The White Initiative for Black Americans, GSA and NASA will host a workshop on Friday, August 2nd – 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM(limited to 150 attendees) at the Little Carver at 226 N. Hackberry St. to show you how to get funding and contracts. In order to get fast tracked to receive these funds you must register and pay, so that you can receive a packet that must be filled out before you attend, so that you can get assigned to a concierge that will help you navigate through the process.
