Contest Rules:

Submission Eligibility: 

• Contestants must be at least 16 years of age to participate. Participants can include restaurant owners, food truck owners, or individuals passionate about crafting exceptional sandwiches.
• Submission Fee: A submission fee of $100 is required to enter the contest. This fee covers the cost of participation and includes access to the contest tent.
• Event Logistics: Contestants will be responsible for providing their own tents, tables, chairs, electricity/generator, to participate. Wehave limited access to electricity, so if you need electricity, it will be provided on a first come first come basis.
• Sammich Samples: Contestants are required to provide samples of the sandwich they are submitting for tasting. These samples will be available for attendees to taste and judge.

Contest Capacity: The contest is limited to a maximum of 10 contestants. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Judging Panel: The top three winners will be determined by a panel of judges. The judging panel consists of Reginald Ballard, also known as Bruh Man from the 5th Flo, a representative from Black Business San Antonio, a representative from TAAN TV, and one randomly selected attendee from the event.
• Awards: There will be both a People’s Choice Award, determined by popular vote, and three top winners selected by the judging panel.
• Prizes: All Contestants: All contestants will receive a photo opportunity with Bruh Man and a “Searching for the Perfect Sammich” tee-shirt.
• First Place Winner: Receives the opportunity to compete against winners statewide, potential inclusion in the Perfect Sammich series aired on TAAN TV’s multiple platforms, a “Searching for the Perfect Sammich” apron, a tee-shirt, and a photo with Bruh Man plus a $100 cash prize.
• Second Place Winner: Receives a “Searching for the Perfect Sammich” apron, a tee-shirt, a photo with Bruh Man, and a cash prize of $75.
• Third Place Winner: Receives a “Searching for the Perfect Sammich” apron, a tee-shirt, a photo with Bruh Man, and a cash prize of $50.
• People’s Choice Award: The People’s Choice Award winner will be recognized separately and will receive special acknowledgment during the event and an award.
